"Filters are kind of hit or miss"
I was trying to use the filters and at first it seemed straightforward, but this is where it got annoying: some of them just didn’t work the way I expected. A few were fine, but others didn’t really change anything or gave weird results, so the whole experience felt a bit unreliable

"Fees showed up later than expected"
The overall experience was okay, but I wish the pricing was more upfront. Some extra fees didn’t show up until late in the process. Annoying.

"Account stuff is okaaaay, but a little confusing"
I used Apartments.com for my listing and overall it worked well. The account and subscription side was kinda confusing though, I had to click around for a while just to find the billing stuff. Support did get back to me, but it wasn’t superrrr fast. Not a bad experience, just wish it was a bit easier to manage.

"Heads up: the map location was actually accurate"
I used Apartments.com while checking out a few places, and the map was a big help. The pins were actually in the right spots, which saved me from wasting time driving around lost. Just a heads up to anyone apartment hunting: double-check the map before you go because it can really save you some frustration. For me, it was easy to use and I didn’t run into any issues.

"In the end, apartments.com made it a lot..."
In the end, apartments.com made it a lot easier for me to figure out what I’d actually be paying each month. I really appreciated that the extra fees were shown upfront, instead of having to dig around or guess. It wasn’t perfect every single time, but compared to other sites I used, it felt much clearer and saved me a lot of back-and-forth.

"The listings actually matched up"
I was surprised that the listings were accurate. The photos looked like the real place, the prices were the same as shown, the room sizes didn’t feel misleading, the location details checked out, and even little things like the furniture, lighting, and overall condition matched what I saw. No weird surprises, no hidden changes, no “this looked better online” moment.

"Support fixed it, but it took too long"
I had to reach out to support because of an issue with my listing. They did eventually respond and get it fixed, so I’ll give them credit for that, but it took longer than I feel it should have. It wasn’t a terrible experience, just average and a bit frustrating. after waiting around for something that wasn’t my fault, I’d expect some kind of compensation or at least a small credit for the inconvenience.

"Scam reports don’t really feel like they go anywhere"
I came across a few listings that looked fake and when I reported them it didn’t feel like much happened, so yeah Apartments.com can be useful sometimes but they really need to get better about checking for scams because it’s hard to fully trust the site when stuff like that is still showing up

"Pretty solid for apartment hunting"
I ended up finding my apartment through Apartments.com, and for my situation, it was worth using. I was mostly trying to stay within a specific budget and avoid wasting weekends touring places that were way out of range, so the filters made a big difference.
Some listings definitely could’ve had better photos or more details, but I wouldn’t say that ruined the experience. If you’re looking for something super polished, you might notice the gaps more, but for a free site that helped me save time, money, and stress, I was happy with it. I’d give it 5 stars.

"I use Apartments.com often, but the photos..."
I use Apartments.com often, but the photos and videos can be really hit or miss. Some listings have blurry pictures, weird angles, or videos that are so short they barely show anything useful. It makes it hard to tell what the apartment actually looks like before reaching out. i don’t really trust customer service to clear things up either, so I end up feeling like I have to double-check everything myself.

It’s been kinda frustrating to use. Every time I try to search, the filters seem to reset, and the pages load slow too. Just makes the whole thing feel clunky tbh.

"Helpful, but I still end up calling"
Apartments is good when I just want a quick feel for a place, but some listings are kind of incomplete. Like I’ll be checking rent and then suddenly I’m wondering, wait, what about parking fees? Or utilities, or random move-in costs, and it’s just not always there. The photos and floor plans usually help a lot, though. Still, I end up calling the property most of the time to double-check stuff, so it’s useful, just not something I’d totally rely on by itself.

"I messaged about a bunch of Apartments that..."
I messaged about a bunch of Apartments that looked available, but most of them were already taken or not really open anymore. The site still shows them like you can apply or schedule a tour, which is super frustrating. I wasted time calling around just to be told the place was gone days ago. Whoever runs this really needs to keep the listings updated better.

I’m picky about apps being quick and easy to use, and this one has been smooth for me. Pages load fast, the filters don’t lag, and I was able to browse places without the app freezing up.

"I checked out the listings and some of..."
I checked out the listings and some of them felt kinda real, like real real, if that makes sense. The reviews were a little mixed, but overall they seemed mostly okay to me.
"Pretty decent leads, but I’m still keeping an eye on it"
So far, the leads I’ve gotten from Apartments.com have mostly been real people, not random spam or junk. I’m still careful and make sure I screen everyone properly, but I did end up with a few solid renter prospects this month, which was nice
